HyperConnector Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
HyperConnector ("we", "us") helps you manage professional relationships and a reputation built from real interactions. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account info: your name, email address, and (optionally) a profile photo, company, and role.
- Relationship data you create: the people you add, your private notes, touchpoints, tags, ratings/"placements", and introductions. Private notes are visible only to you.
- Reputation data: aggregated, anonymized expertise placements others make about you. Individual placements are not shown attributed.
- In-app economy: your Chit balance and transaction history.
- Device permissions you grant: calendar access (read on-device only, to remind you to log meetings — not transmitted), local network and Face ID (for in-person "bump" connections and app lock).
- Google Calendar data (optional): if you connect your Google account, we access Google Calendar data as described below.
Google Calendar data
You can optionally connect your Google account so HyperConnector can remind you to log meetings with people in your network. If you do, we access your Google data as follows:
- What we access: with your consent, we use the read-only scope
calendar.events.readonlyto read event titles, times, and attendees, plus your email address to show which account is connected. We never create, edit, or delete events. - How we use it: event details are read and displayed on your device solely so you can log a meeting against the right contact in one tap. Attendee emails are matched only against your existing in-app contacts.
- Storage and sharing: we do not store your calendar on our servers, do not share Google Calendar data with third parties, and do not use it for advertising. OAuth tokens are stored securely on your device.
- Limited Use: HyperConnector's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Revoking access: disconnect Google Calendar anytime in the app's Settings, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How we use it
To operate the app's core features: your network, reputation, introductions, and the in-app economy. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not sell your personal information.
How information is shared
- With other users: your public profile and aggregated reputation are visible to people you've connected with, per the app's consent rules (e.g., placements require a verified meeting). Private notes are never shared.
- Service providers: we use Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage) to run the service as our data processor.
- Legal: we may disclose information if required by law.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account and data: in the app, go to your profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated data.
- Access or correct your information by editing your profile, or contact us.
- Block and report: you can block or report other users from their profile; we review reports within 24 hours.
Data retention & security
We retain your data while your account is active and delete it on request. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
HyperConnector is not directed to children under 17 and is intended for adults.
Changes
We'll update this policy as the app evolves and revise the date above.
