HyperConnector Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 28, 2026

HyperConnector ("we," "us," "the app") helps you build and remember your professional relationships — who you've met, what you talked about, who introduced whom, and who in your network has expertise you may need. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using HyperConnector you agree to this policy and to our Terms & Community Guidelines.

THE SHORT VERSION: We collect the account and relationship information you provide so the app can work. We do NOT sell your data, we do NOT use it for advertising, and we do NOT track you across other companies' apps or websites. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from that provider (if you use Apple's "Hide My Email," we receive Apple's private relay address instead of your real one). We never receive your Google or Apple password.

Profile information. Information you add to your profile, such as a profile photo, company, position, an additional email, and tags. Your profile photo is stored so it can be displayed to people you connect with.

Your relationship data. The core of the app is information you record about your network: the people you add (their names and, where you provide them, email addresses), notes about your meetings ("touchpoints"), relative expertise assessments, conversation keywords, the communities you group people into, who introduced whom, and referrals you make. Some of this is private to you (for example, your private notes); other parts become visible to a person only after a mutual, consent-based verification.

Calendar access (optional). If you enable calendar features, we read your calendar events (title, time, and attendees) for two purposes: (a) on your device, to remind you to log who you met; and (b) if you connect Google Calendar, to display your upcoming meetings inside the app so you can log them. We request read-only access — we never create, change, or delete calendar events — and we do not store a copy of your calendar on our servers.

Notifications and Face ID. With your permission, we send local notifications (for example, a reminder to log a meeting). If you enable the Face ID app lock, authentication is performed by your device's operating system — we never receive or store your biometric data.

Safety data. If you report or block another user, we record that action (who reported/blocked whom, and the reason) so we can review and act on it.

What we do NOT collect. We do not access your device's address book/contacts, your photo library (beyond a photo you choose for your profile), your precise location, or your microphone. We do not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking technologies.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
To create and operate your account and authenticate you.
To provide the app's core features: logging connections, building your network, making and tracking referrals, and surfacing expertise.
To send the connection requests and referrals you initiate to the people involved.
To remind you (via on-device notifications) to log meetings you may have had.
To keep the community safe — reviewing reports and enforcing our Terms.
To maintain, secure, and improve the service.

3. HOW INFORMATION IS SHARED
HyperConnector is built around mutual consent. Information you record about another person stays private to you unless and until that person verifies the connection with you. Once two people are verified connections, certain profile and aggregated expertise information becomes visible to each other. Your profile (name, photo, headline) may be visible to other signed-in users through search and public profiles. Your private notes are never shown to anyone else.

We share data with service providers who operate the app's infrastructure on our behalf — principally Google Firebase (authentication, database, and file storage) and Google and Apple for sign-in. These providers process data under their own terms and only to provide their services to us. We do NOT sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

4. INFORMATION ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT USERS
You may record information about people who have not joined HyperConnector. You are responsible for the information you record and for having an appropriate basis to do so. If you believe a HyperConnector user has stored information about you and you would like it addressed, contact us at the address below.

5. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; doing so permanently removes your profile, relationship data, photos, and associated records from our systems. Some records may persist briefly in backups before being overwritten, and we may retain limited information where required by law.

6. SECURITY
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

7. CHILDREN
HyperConnector is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

8. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You can edit your profile, control which connections are verified, block or report users, disable calendar and notification permissions in iOS Settings at any time, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information; contact us to exercise them.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
